I have already written a little about my Grandma Waterson and how she struggled to rear 4 little girls after being widowed at the age of 27, she was a remarkable woman and all her girls were a credit to her
With my Grandma is my Auntie Mary, the youngest of her four daughters. Auntie Mary was the kindest and most loving woman who, in our family's opinion ever lived. When she was 9 years old she caught Scarlet Fever, in those days a very serious illness, it left her with multiple health problems which she endured with fortitude. She died at the far too young age of 50. I cannot find the words to describe her nature and character, I loved all my aunts, but she was so special. I can never remember her raising her voice or complaining, she adored children, and we loved to go and visit her, I know that I speak for all of us in the family, when I say that we lost a treasure, the day we lost her. It is many years since she died, but we shall never forget her and shall be eternally grateful that we were blessed with her in our family.
